  1. Peel and grate lauki using a grater. Squeeze out the excess water using your hands.
  2. Heat a deep bottom pan and put malai and grated lauki it in.
  3. Cook both of them on low flame for at least 20-25 minutes. Keep stirring in between. It’s important to stir in between.
  4. After a while you will see, the malai will start getting thick along with lauki. It will start taking shape of mawa.
  5. Once the lauki has cooked and the smell starts coming. It’s time to add sugar and stir along.
  6. Finally, switch off the flame and add crushed/powdered cardamom and saffron strands.
  7. Garnish it with almonds and serve.
