Khatta Amla Candy is an Indian mouth freshener that is made during the Winter season. It’s tangy, it’s salty, and a perfect thing to have after every meal.

Ingredients

Amla/ Gooseberry
as required
Salt

Black Pepper powder
water
for boiling
Instructions
Boil water in a large vessel. Add Amla to it. Amlas should be deep inside the water. Cook it for 3-5 minutes.
Switch of the gas and strain the water.
Cool the Amla and de-seed it with the help of your fingers.
Take out the slices in a bowl or plate like below.
Sprinkle salt and black pepper powder. Give it a good toss and enjoy.

Note :
You can enjoy them straight away. Mind it, these are really tangy in taste but yum.
You can add powdered sugar, to make it Khatta-Meetha in taste.
You can place the plate under the sun and let it sun-dried.
Once sun-dried, store them in a cool place.
