Kale Chane Ki Khichdi is a one-pot meal recipe that is filling and healthy too. Loaded with vegetables and flavors, this Kale chane ki khichdi can be served with Raita.
Wash and soak kale chane over night. The next morning, discard the water and put fresh water. Pressure cooker it for 5-6 whistles on low flame or till chane becomes soft and cooked.
It’s time to add boiled kale chana. Cook the boiled chana for 1 minute in the masala.
It’s time to add soaked rice. Drain the water and add rice to the mixture. Toss it gently with hands. Do not over toss it otherwise the rice will break.
Add water and close the lid. Let it cook on low flame for 10-12 minutes or till rice gets cooked properly.
Else, pressure cook it for 2 whistles on low flame.
Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve with Raita.
