Ingredients

Litre
milk
1/4
cup
basmati rice
75 – 100
gms
sugar
5-6
strands
Saffron

Cardamom Powder

almonds

(Chopped)

Instructions
Wash rice, changing water until the water appears clear. Soak rice in clean water for about 30 minutes.
Boil milk in a deep bottomed pan, boil it till it reduces to 3/4th. Keep stirring in between as the milk might stick at the bottom.
Add rice to the milk and stir it continuously for about 10-15 mins or until rice is cooked. Cook it on low flame so that it doesn’t get burnt.
When rice is cooked, add sugar and stir it for 5 minutes or till sugar gets dissolved.
Mix saffron strands in a few drops of milk and add it to the above mixture.
Add cardamom powder, pistachios, almonds, and nuts of your choice.
Garnish it with rose petals.
Serve hot or cold.

You can add dry-fruits according to your taste and preference
Adding saffron milk gives a lovely aroma and color.
You can serve it hot or cold. Some people prefer it cold, refrigerate it when it cools down.
