Don’t go by the looks 😝 – This might look weird but it tastes absolute yum!
Healthy, yummy and loaded with flavors, these Beetroot Tikkis are perfect to have during Winter. You can either boil beetroot and mash them or you can grate them. I have used grated beetroot for this.
Perfect to have it for snacks with ketchup or any chutney of your choice. Else, you can make Burgers out of this. Slide them into Burger Buns with some veggies and you are good to go.

Ingredients
- 3-4 Number beetroot Medium Size, Grated
- 2-3 Number Potatoes Medium Size, Boiled & Grated.
- 1 Number onion Medium Size and finely chopped.
- 2-3 Slices bread
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-Green Chilli Paste
- 1 teaspoon coriander leaves Finely chopped
- 1 Teaspoon Red chilli Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Garam Masala Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/2 Teaspoon Amchur Powder Optional
- salt To taste
- Oil For Frying

Instructions
- Peel and grate Beetroot in a bowl. Using your hands' squeeze all the excess water from the beetroot. P.S: Do not throw away the beetroot water as we will soak bread slices into it and then we will use.
- Boil, peel and mash potatoes and keep it aside.
- In a mixing bowl, take beetroot, mashed potatoes, chopped onions, green chilli and ginger paste, coriander leaves and all the masala.
- Soak bread slices into beetroot water and squeeze the extra water. Add this to the mixture
- Mix everything and make tikkis out of it.
- Heat a non stick pan. Add a bit of oil and cook these tikkis on low heat. Cook it well from both the sides.
- Serve it with chutney or ketchup.

Notes:
- To make it more healthy, you can add crushed walnuts too.
- If you want it more crispy, you can roll these tikkis in sooji/semolina or crushed walnuts and then cook it.
