Craving for an instant – heat less – no fuss – no cooking – no baking sweet dish? Then this recipe is perfect for you. Mango Pinwheel Sandwich requires just 3 ingredients and tastes absolutely yum.
Since Mangoes are in season, this is the perfect time to try this recipe. Since it’s heat-less you can ask your kids to help you. I have used Alphonso Mango and fresh malai. You can use any sweet mango of your choice and instead of malai can use whipped cream too.
Let’s get started.
Ingredients
- 4 Bread Slices.
- 1/2 cup Fresh Malai
- 1 Alphonso Mango
Also required.
- Rolling Pin / Belan
- Cling Paper.
Method
- Wash and peel Mango. Slice it into thin slices.
- In a bowl, take fresh malai, add 1/2 teaspoon of powdered sugar and a pinch of cardamom powder to it. This will add taste and flavor. These are optional ingredients, if you don’t want it too sweet, you can avoid.
- Take bread slices, cut the sides with the help of a knife.
- Place two bread slices close to each other, meeting the ends as shown in the pic below.
- Place a polythene sheet or bag on it and press it gently with a rolling pin. We want both the bread slices to get glued to each other and make one big flat bread out of it.
- Apply a thick layer of malai and place mangoes over it. Roll the bread slice tightly and use a cling roll to maintain the shape.
- Put inside the freezer for about 15 minutes. Once done, remove the cling paper and cut into slices.
- Mango Pinwheel Sandwich is ready to serve.
Happy Pinwheel-ing! 😉
